Dr Carrie: Associate Doctor
Dr. Carrie first gained an interest in animal care while growing up on a farm in South Carolina, raising cattle, pigs, chickens and other various pets. After completing an Animal Science degree at Clemson University, she went on to complete her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree at Texas A & M University College of Veterinary Medicine. She graduated in 2006 and moved to Sarasota, quickly settling in to develop her career and start a family.
Dr. Carrie has been with Sarasota Animal Hospital since graduating veterinary school. She is most passionate about forming long lasting relationships with her clients, learning their pet’s needs, and tailoring the pet’s care to fit them the best way possible. She takes special interest in dentistry and considers it a welcoming challenge to soothe and calm the most hesitant of patients.
Away from work, she spends the rest of her time with her two sons, Silas and Justus. Together they enjoy camping, fishing, building Lego’s, watching Battle Bots, and supporting their beloved Clemson Tigers football team. Rounding out their family is Sodas (a Chihuahua and Yorkie cross), Tangie (a feisty calico cat), and Michael-Michael (a naughty hyperactive kitten).
